ENL1W Portfolio and Final Exam
The literacy portfolio and conference, review lessons on sight texts, poetry and timed writing, and an original final evaluation with an answer key.

Everything for the end of ENL1W. Students build a literacy portfolio from every unit, revise one piece again, reflect on their strategies, write a growth letter with goals and lead a portfolio conference. Review lessons build sight-text reading, poetry analysis, timed writing and language skills.
Includes the culminating task (part of classroom work, suggested 10%) with rubrics, and a two-hour written final exam (20%, for the exam period, as Ontario requires from September 2026) built on an original short story students have never seen, with comprehension, language and media questions, a written response, an answer key and a rubric.
