ENG2D Unit 2: Media Decoded
Algorithms, ads, influencers, AI fakes, news framing and thumbnails, ending with a public service campaign students design themselves.

Who decides what you see, and who benefits? Students simulate a social media algorithm, perform an “ad autopsy,” spot hidden influencer ads, fact-check viral posts with SIFT and decode thumbnails, using original example ads, posts and headlines made for these lessons.
Assessment of learning: a public service campaign in the media form of the student's choice, with a creator's statement and rubric.
