GLC2O Complete Course: Grade 10 Career Studies

A complete, ready-to-teach half-credit Career Studies course (GLC2O, 55 hours). Every lesson is 75 minutes. The course has 29 lessons plus flexible classes for summative work, presentations and review, so it fits a half semester or a full semester paired with another half credit.

Every unit ends with an assessment of learning and a four-level rubric, and all scenarios, data and examples are original. The mental health lessons are strength-based and designed to sit alongside the Ministry's mandatory GLC2O modules. The financial literacy review uses original practice questions; the official assessment is completed through TVO.

Teaching outside Ontario?

A half-credit career and life planning course: self-knowledge and well-being, goal setting, the changing world of work, postsecondary pathways (apprenticeship, college, university, work), resumes and interviews, and money skills. It fits career education, advisory or life skills courses anywhere. Wages, student aid and the financial literacy test are Ontario or Canadian, and money is in Canadian dollars. Everything comes as editable Word and PowerPoint files, so you can replace the Ontario expectation codes with your own standards and adjust the evaluation plan to your school's rules.
