CHV2O Unit 6: Civic Action Plan and Final Exam

Students launch the culminating Civic Action Plan: they choose a civic issue of personal interest, write an inquiry question, research how different groups view the issue, judge sources (including social media), compare courses of action against clear criteria, and build and present a plan with a SMART goal, steps, partners, predicted results and success criteria. A review lesson connects the course to current events and prepares students for the written final exam.

Assessment of learning: Civic Action Plan (culminating task): analyse an issue of personal interest, compare courses of action and present a plan to create positive change, with a review and final exam preparation lesson.
